News from The Rome Observer: ROME — Jervis Public Library will showcase the free eBook and e-audiobook, a download service available through the library on Tuesday, Aug. 7. News from News Virginian: Bringing Joys of a Great Book to Blind and Physically Disabled Readers             For blind and physically disabled readers, getting hold of the latest bestseller, be it mystery or current events, isn’t as simple as pulling a book off the nearest library or bookstore shelf. Books have to be made accessible. At the forefront of providing such materials as Braille and audio books is the National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (NLS), part of the Library of Congress. Locally, the NLS is represented by the Talking Book Center, located at the Staunton Public Library. Audio books can now be downloaded from Potsdam Public Library

News from North Country Now: POTSDAM — The Potsdam Public Library is offering the OneClickdigital app from RecordedBooks which can be downloaded from its web site at www.potsdamlibrary.org . Audio books can be downloaded to most portable devices. “The big advantage of this app,” commented Director Pat Musante, “is that there is simultaneous accessibility. Friends of the Galesburg Public Library to host spring book sale
