YMCA to hold Beads for Needs Race

This benefit run will be held in conjunction with the Lake Wales Mardi Gras celebration. All proceeds benefit the Lake Wales Family YMCA’s Teen Building Program. The Teen Building Program molds teens into positive young adults. The race entry fee is $ 15 for YMCA members and $ 20 for non-members. In celebration of the Lake Wales Mardi Gras race, participants may purchase a Mardi Gras bead necklace for $ 1 and receive a 20 yard head start. Burlington library to hold e-book and digital audiobook open house

News from Boston.com: By John Laidler, Globe Correspondent Residents have an opportunity to learn more about using e-books and digital audio books. The public library is holding a four-day e-book and digital audiobook open house. Librarians will demonstrate the free downloading of e-books from the Burlington Public Library’s web site to e-book readers, including the Apple iPad, the Amazon Kindle, the Barnes and Noble Nook, and the Sony Reader. They will also demonstrate the free downloading of digital audio books to an Mp3 player or an iPod.
